The "Blue" Plaza - Click here to view more

"The Plaza" at Richmond's downtown area in Shockoe Bottom now features a sculpture by Artist John Newman. The sculpture sits just across from the main street station. It's very inviting and quite pleasant to view. I walked the area for about 30 minutes taking in all the blue spot lighting on the ground all around me and observing the unique style of Sculpted Art suspended above - hanging below the I-95 highway overpass. Dragon Fly? - I wondered, No... "Sky Rider", Of Course!

The illuminating blue, enhances the Shockoe Bottom area and creates a festive atmosphere at the same time.
I bumped into another photographer at 10:40 pm on that Monday Night, and we both had to stop for a photo and soak it in. They may call it "The Plaza", but some are settling on other names, like The Blue Plaza, Blue Dots, The Richmond Blues and for me...The River City - Richmond Blues. Enjoy the slideshow pictures of our Plaza, Richmond's newest attraction.

SEARCH AND RESCUE

We can almost hear the shuffling of the 3 angels of God, in heaven, readying themselves with a great flight toward earth,  for the soon-coming search and rescue.  This shall be a transforming time. May we be found faithful. The loud cry of Revelation 18 will be a powerful repetition  of the messages of the three angels of Revelation 14. Illustration ©  Review and Herald Publ. Assoc.

When tenderness speaks By A.Hope

Well, well...I took a much-needed break from blog time, so now I'll write again.   I began writing poetry in 2001.  This poem was revised in February 2022 in dedication to my friend Pam.  Enjoy! ©When tenderness speaks..  by a.hope Tenderness is a language all its own. Use it to touch, teach, show love and heal. Apply it towards expressions of sincerity, mending beautiful friendships.  Though it is spoken in softness, the degree of volume is immeasurable.   The Father breaths so gently upon each of our hearts. He has given us such valuable tools in conviction. I've learned to listen closely...when tenderness speaks.
